Why did you choose this field? "I went into this field because I was interested in mothers and babies, but I soon learned that empowering and supporting women as they care for themselves, and their families is my true passion. Sometimes people ask me why I would do pap smears for a living, but it's so much more than that! I get to be a part of helping women prioritize their health and wellness at every stage of life including family planning, fertility, wellness screening, hormone management, and so much more. Women often put themselves last, but in my exam room she is always first. It's the most gratifying and fulfilling work I can imagine."
What is your favorite part of your job? "The people I get to know and love. That moment when you really listen to what someone is saying, and you realize that you can help them. I have tools to do that. Every human body is different, and sometimes it takes time to find a solution, but we have so many tools and can find a solution for nearly everyone."
