Why did you choose this field?
"I have worked in Med/Surg, home health, labor & delivery, postpartum, women's health ER, and finally in the GYN clinic setting. When I decided to go back to school to complete my Nurse Practitioner, I decided to specialize in women's health primarily because that was the area of nursing that I was most familiar with and where I spent most of my career. My faith is also very important to me, and I feel that God has especially prepared me to serve this population. Women are complex and ever changing across their lifespans and I am honored to be given the privilege of caring for the women of this community."
What is your favorite part of your job? "My favorite part of my job is education. I love listening to each patients concerns and helping them find the best way to make the most out of their lives. I love to educate on why we do certain tests, what results mean for each patient, and how that patient can improve results. I am grateful that Dr. Wampler supports a natural preventative approach to medicine while taking necessary medical interventions when appropriate. This practice is a nice blend of both traditional medicine and functional medicine."
